TUFF AR Primer

A water-based, nanotechnology-powered acrylic primer with a superior spreading rate that makes it perfect for use under water-based exterior top coats.

TUFF AR Primer is a water-based nano acrylic primer, pigmented with titanium dioxide and other light fast and alkali-resisting pigments. Its superior design and consistency gives it an optimum spreading rate. Thanks to its nano capabilities, the primer penetrates and seals the concrete, plaster or other masonry surfaces. It provides an excellent surface and long-lasting adhesion for the TUFF range of water-based top coats.

Surface preparation Clean the surface thoroughly. Make sure it is dry and free of all dust, contaminants and fungal growth. Remove laitance (accumulation of particles on fresh concrete) with wire brush or sweep blast. Previous coatings must be removed completely. Treat fungal growth with Berger Fungicidal Solution.

Application procedure Before applying TUFF AR Primer, stir the contents thoroughly. Ensure that the outside temperature is 30oC and that relative humidity is not greater than 85%. Apply evenly avoiding runs and sags.
